The prosecution accused my minor child of theft. Avtandil Giorgadze developed a defence strategy and conducted an independent defence investigation. As a result, my child was fully acquitted by Judge Tea Leonidze of the Tbilisi Court of Appeals. I am grateful to the lawyer because he did everything to protect my child’s interests. With the help of his knowledge, experience and high level of professionalism, we achieved this result.

Avtandil Giorgadze represented my interests in a criminal case. I was charged with a particularly serious offence and, if convicted, faced up to 20 years’ imprisonment or life imprisonment. The prosecution charged me with making threats against the same person in respect of whom I had already been convicted once. The “victim” had witnesses who were giving false testimony, and, at first glance, it seemed that I would inevitably be found guilty. However, alongside the prosecution’s investigation, Avtandil Giorgadze effectively conducted a new investigation and proved to the court that both the victim and the witnesses presented by that person were interested parties: they had a civil dispute with me and were giving false testimony against me. Avtandil Giorgadze not only exposed their false testimony but also found impartial witnesses and questioned them before the court. These witnesses described what had actually happened. It was through his efforts that Judge Lela Shkubuliani of the Tbilisi City Court found me completely innocent and released me from the courtroom.

Before being interviewed as a witness, I consulted Mr Avtandil. He explained my rights in advance and told me what I needed to pay attention to. He attended my interview and helped me protect my rights. It was very important to me that, before the interview, I already knew what rights I had and what risks I needed to consider.

We worked with Avtandil Giorgadze at the appeal stage. After examining the judgment and the case materials, the lawyer prepared a well-reasoned appeal. We were particularly satisfied with our communication with him: he explained the progress of the case clearly, and no question was left unanswered.

We consulted Avtandil during the investigation. After assessing the evidence in the case, he explained the weaknesses in the prosecution’s case and the issues that presented difficulties for the defence. He also planned the defence strategy and the next steps in advance, which helped us achieve the outcome we wanted.

Avtandil represented my interests during the investigation from the moment I was arrested. At that time, I had many questions about my rights, procedures, risks and potential dangers. He explained everything clearly. He was present when the charges were formally brought against me and also participated in the hearing on the measure of restraint. He drew the court’s attention to important circumstances supporting my position. We received timely information about the progress of the case.
